Easy Habits to Calm Your Mind

Taking care of your mental health doesn’t have to mean huge lifestyle changes. Sometimes it’s the little things that can make the biggest difference, like pausing for a deep breath, journaling your thoughts, or listening to a quick meditation before bed. This page is full of small, simple practices that you can do in under 10 minutes, wherever you are, at any time. My personal favorite is lighting a candle, turning on calming music, and stretching for 10-15 minutes before bed. This has helped me feel good mentally and physically before I get into bed, and it allows me to relax my mind instead of sitting on my phone scrolling on social media.

I put these together with busy students in mind. You don’t need to be super into mindfulness or wellness to try these out because, at the end of the day, they’re just tools that may be able to help you out when you’re feeling stressed, unfocused, or stuck. Try one, try a few, or just scroll through and see what speaks to you. There’s no right way to take care of your mind.
